So I told you the exciting news on Wednesday that I was a contestant on Crafting with the Stars! How fun and what an honor! There were 244 entries and TWELVE were chosen, and I was one of them! How fun is THAT??
Here are all the contestants and their “stars”!
Well, today I turned in my project for Round One, Brand Inspired/Knock Offs! Amy from Mod Podge Rocks is my “star” and she and I have come up with a really fabulous project to share with all of you! I’m a little nervous as all 12 projects will be posted Sunday, October 24th @ 12:01 am MST, at which time the polls will remain open until Monday, October 25th @ 10 pm MST.
Thing is, I can’t tell you which project is mine! In order to keep the voting fair, all projects will be posted anonymously so it doesn’t turn into a popularity contest. Who knows though, maybe you know me well enough to know which one I made! Please be sure and vote for your favorite on Sunday and Monday!
So excited!

LOL Amanda. I am so doing the same thing. I think you cant help but put your own personality into stuff and I think that my readers will be able to pick mine out in .04 seconds, but who knows. All I can say is you will FO SHIZZY want to be featuring it on Craft Gossip…. I am DYING to see what everyone especially you and Kelly (Crafting In No Mans Land) have come up with. Did you come up with the project on your own, or did you come up with it together?
love your guts

Love that, FO SHIZZY! Hee hee!
I came up with the project, but Amy found the item that inspired me. :) I came up with a few ideas to knock off and so did she and we just narrowed it down. Fun thing was that I never would have found the thing she did, just not a site I would have been on ya know? She had sent another link too for something I am going to make for my teen daughter's room, it'll be a guest post on How Does She December 3rd! :) Fun!
I'm dying to see what everyone made, it's KILLLLLing me!
Congratulations on being selected. I'll be sure to vote.
I was so excited to see the linked up projects tonight! I think I was the slowest and submitted mine on the last day! Ha!
I am in absolute AWE of those projects!! Amazing talent! http://sewdangcute.blogspot.com/2010/10/round-1-projects-please-vote.html
I loved and voted for your project. I hope you do a tutorial! Was that done with a Silhouette? And just found and started following your blog!
Hi Becky and thanks so much! I just posted the tutorial here http://www.craftsbyamanda.com/2010/10/french-fruit-wall-art.html :) The words were done on the Silhouette and I included the file needed too :)
