Quick Decorative Bottle Transformation

I have a small collection of pretty bottles. Whenever I see one with a cool shape or design at a thrift store I grab it. The collection like I said, is quite small, so I can keep it contained, but it was also rather plain. Where I used to live the “plain” worked fine. But here in my kitchen of white cabinets, white counters and white floor, I needed that little something to brighten them up.

I like the idea of using beans because they add dimension as well as color. The other nice thing about the beans is if I tire of them, I can change them out whenever I want to. In fact, I could go so far as to spray paint the beans, but that seems like a lot of work. ;) I do like the change it made. A neighbor of mine stopped by and it was the first thing she noticed, she commented on them right away.

Cost for this transformation: approximately $6.00 for the bags of beans and peas, I already had the pasta on hand. :)

The perfect project – simple, yet it makes an impact. I also love that it can be easily changed to different colors or whatever strikes your fancy. Neat!

Love this!! I love decorative odd shaped bottles too. This will look great above kitchen cabinets. I have a lot of empty space.

I am by no means very crafty anymore….but you certainly have me interested in this one! I have a lot of really old bottles that I could so this with (some of them anyway!). Great idea and love how my blogging friends inspire me!

Hi Amanda, I love those quick fixes! Thanks so much for sharing on Craft Schooling Sunday. And when you get tired of those beans, so either craft with them or cook them up into something delicious!
