How to Make a Photo Cube
When making a photo cube, you will definitely want photos that have been printed on photo paper rather than copier or printer paper. You can certainly make your cube with regular paper, but photo paper is sturdier and hold up better to decoupaging.
If you prefer to buy a photo cube, you can get one from Amazon here.
Photo Cube Supplies
Here is a list of supplies that I used to make my photo cubes.
- 6 photos of your choice (I used HP Advanced Photo Paper)
- 4-inch solid wood blocks
- Black acrylic craft paint
- Mod Podge matte finish
- Foam applicator
These particular photo cubes went to three different people and they all loved them! I made them for my daughter, one of my sons and my daughter’s newly engaged friend.
Are you ready to learn how to make a photo cube yourself?

I’ve made these and they are fun. I purchased a cheap laminator on amazon. I laminate my photos before putting them on the cube because the pictures are better protected.
I would love to make these with my friends but the myprintly link doesn’t work anymore. Can you share?
Hi! I was trying to watch the tutorial on how to do this, and the link just brings me to the YouTube page for HP. I’ve tried searching both your name and “photo cube,” and cannot find the video. Do you have instructions and/or pictures, or a different video link you can post?
