Pom Pom Snowman
3" Styrofoam egg
2" Styrofoam ball
Medium white pom-poms
2medium red pom-poms
1medium orange pom-pom
2small pink pom-poms
2miniature black pom-poms
7tiny black pom-poms
3medium green pom-poms
1gold pipe cleaner
1" wide strip of green felt
White craft glue
Hot glue gun
Cut the large end off the Styrofoam egg to give the bottom a flat surface. insert toothpick into Styrofoam ball, then insert the ball and toothpick into the round end of the egg.
Using white craft glue, cover the entire ball and egg with white pom-poms.
Turn foam cup upside down and hot glue flat marbles around the inside rim of the foam cup. This will give the bottom of your snowman some weight so that he doesn't fall over.
Glue the flat end of the egg to the bottom of the foam cup. Cover the foam cup with white pom poms.
Carefully pull on both ends of the felt strip to stretch its length. Be careful not to pull too hard or it will split in half. Fringe the ends with scissors and wrap around the snowman's neck, securing with white glue.
Glue pom-poms on to face (orange for nose, pink for cheeks, black for mouth and eyes). Glue green pom-poms on as buttons.
Bend pipe cleaner in half and twist it together Bend the ends to shorten the pipe cleaner and hot glue the red pom-poms to the ends of the pipe cleaner to create ear muffs. Glue to the top of the snowman's head.
This project can be done with cotton balls instead of pom poms!
