Lightly sand the CD/DVD to remove the shiny or coated surface; brush off dust.
Paint the CD/DVD with Mod Podge or white glue that has been thinned out with a small amount of water.
Place painted CD onto a clean piece of paper and cover the CD with brown glitter. Allow it to sit for a minute or two then tap off the excess glitter onto the paper. Lift the paper with he glitter on it and hold it so that all the glitter goes to the center, then funnel it back into your glitter container.
Cut out pattern pieces from card stock or felt. Working with one color at a time, paint the pieces with Mod Podge and cover in glitter according to the color reference (Head – brown, gobbler – red, beak, feet and one feather – orange, feather 2 – red, feather 3 – yellow, feather 4 – green, feather 5 – gold)
Repeat the process of tapping off the excess and returned unused glitter to its container. Allow all the pieces to sit and dry for about an hour before handling. If you need to move the pieces, use the corner of a piece of card stock to lift the pieces so as not to disturb the drying glitter/glue with your fingers.
Assemble the turkey by hot gluing the pieces onto the glittered CD. First attach the head, then the gobbler and beak. Attach the feet to the bottom and the feathers to the back. Add googly eyes to complete the project.
