Instructions
Upload the cut file to the software for your Cricut machine. You can see how to do that here.
Size to fit your mason jar lids and cut from heat transfer vinyl. Remember to mirror your design before cutting. You will also need to cut with the shiny side of the material down on the mat.
Weed away all of the excess vinyl from the cut design. You can use weeding tools for this but they are not required.
Using a mason jar lid as a template, mark your cork and cut with scissors.
Adhere the heat transfer vinyl to the cork using an iron or the Cricut EasyPress. Be sure to protect the cork with either a protective sheet or parchment paper when pressing. You may need to press several times to get good adhesion. Heating from the front as well as the back is recommended. Follow all time and temperature recommendations on your brand of heat transfer vinyl.
Remove backing once heat transfer vinyl has adhered.
Then hot glue cork into the bottom of the mason jar lid.
Repeat the steps for as many coasters as you would like.
Your mason jar coasters are now ready for serving up some drinks in any room.
