Recycle a cardboard tube into winter's beautiful red bird, the cardinal.

4-inchcardboard tube 1 sheet red construction paper Scrap of black construction paper Scrap of orange construction paper 5 red feathers 2 goggly eyes Scissors White craft glue
Instructions
Cover the cardboard tube in red construction paper.
Use patterns to cut football shape from black construction paper and triangle from orange construction paper. Glue the black shape to the front of the tube toward the top for the face.
Glue the triangle onto the black face as the beak.
Glue one red feather at the top of the bird's "head", inside the tube. Glue two feathers on each side of the tube for the wings.
