Supplies
Mason jar glass with handle
Dowel rod
1 1/2
cups
bird seed
1/2
package unflavored gelatin
1/2
cup
flour
1 1/2
tablespoons
corn syrup
1/4
cup
boiling water
Wire
Instructions
Boil 1/4 cup of water.
Add the water to a bowl and then stir in 1/2 a package of unflavored gelatin. Mix well.
Stir in corn syrup.
Then stir in flour until everything is combined.
Add this mixture to the bird seed. Mix well. I find it easiest just to use my hands for this portion.
Stuff the mixture down inside your mason jar. Add in your dowel rod and add mixture in around the rod.
Continue until the mixture is in the jar then press down well.
Cut off a long piece of wire and then wrap both ends around the handle of the mason jar.
Hang your mason jar bird feeder anywhere in your yard where you want to attract the birds.
