Supplies
1white paper plate
scissors
1black and 1 red crayon
tacky craft glue
1medium-sized wiggly eye
pencil
black pen
Instructions
After gathering supplies, invite kids to cut their paper plate in half. On one of the halves, draw an arched shape with a pencil, then invite kids to cut along the line.
Kids can use the other half of the paper plate to cut a small half circle shape (the dog’s head), a tail, 1 ear, and 1 tongue for their dog.
Invite kids to color their dog’s tongue red. Kids can use the black crayons to color spots on their dalmatian’s body, head, and ears.
When kids are finished coloring, invite them to glue their wiggly eyes onto the dog’s face. They can also glue the dog’s tongue and ear into the appropriate positions on the dog’s head. Next, they can glue the head and tail to the body.
As a finishing touch, invite kids to use a black pen to draw “paws” at the end of the large paper plate arch.
