Come spring and summer, this pretty mason jar bird feeder will have all the birds dining in your yard. It's quick and easy to make with a mason jar, bird feed, gelatin, flour, and corn starch.

Supplies
Mason jar glass with handle
Dowel rod
1 1/2cupsbird seed
1/2package unflavored gelatin
1/2cupall purpose flour
1 1/2tablespoonscorn syrup
1/4cupboiling water

Instructions
Boil 1/4 cup of water.
Add the water to a bowl and then stir in 1/2 a package of unflavored gelatin. Mix well.
Stir in corn syrup.
Then, stir in flour until everything is combined.
Add this mixture to the bird seed. Mix well. I find it easiest just to use my hands for this portion.
Stuff the mixture down inside your mason jar. Add in your dowel rod and add more of the mixture in around the rod.
Continue until all of the mixture is in the jar, then press down well.
Cut off a long piece of wire and then wrap both ends around the handle of the mason jar.
Hang your mason jar bird feeder anywhere in your yard where you want to attract the birds.
