I’ve partnered up with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring you this fun kid’s craft, an adorable cardboard tube stork! This stork craft was inspired by the new animated film STORKS, in theaters this Friday. I can’t wait to see it! I had a smile on my face watching the trailer, you can see it below. So save the date to bring your whole flock to see it, but first, let’s make a stork!

Kids can learn how to make an adorable cardboard tube stork, inspired by the new animated film STORKS, in theaters September 23rd. A fun recycling craft.

Cardboard Tube Stork

For many years, storks have been closely associated with the age-old story of how babies are delivered. Playing off that concept of yesteryear, this new movie takes stork delivery service to an entirely different level! Kids and parents alike are going to love this movie. Let’s watch the trailer first before we make our cardboard tube stork:

The snapshot below happens to be my favorite part of the trailer!

Storks deliver babies…or at least they used to. Now they deliver packages for global internet giant Cornerstore. Junior, the company’s top delivery stork, is about to be promoted when he accidentally activates the Baby Making Machine, producing an adorable and wholly unauthorized baby girl. Desperate to deliver this bundle of trouble before the boss gets wise, Junior and his friend Tulip, the only human on Stork Mountain, race to make their first-ever baby drop – in a wild and revealing journey that could make more than one family whole and restore the storks’ true mission in the world.

With a host of lovable and fun characters, this is a great family movie and I can’t wait to see it!

Use tweezers to poke a hole in the top of the tube (for the neck, so opposite side from the legs).

Insert the thick white pipe cleaner into the hole and bend in place from the inside of the tube.

Starting at the top of the white pipe cleaner, wrap the pipe cleaner around the end of your tweezers to create a tight coil (the head).

Cut a 4-inch piece from the remaining orange pipe cleaner and tuck it into the coiled white pipe cleaner.

Grab your glue and add a dab or two to each of the following areas: beak, neck where it enters the tube, and legs where they enter the tube.

Glue on googly eyes to each side of the head and glue white feathers to both sides of the tube. Glue a feather coming out the back of the tube as the tail.

And there you have it, a cute cardboard tube stork!
