If you’re looking for a simple place card that looks like you worked hard on it, I have just the project for you! Dressing up the table for Thanksgiving is always fun, especially for someone that’s crafty. Making festive place cards with all of your guests’ names on them is frankly a good excuse for pulling out the glue gun!

I originally made these for my Chicago Tribune column last year. The newspaper can’t fit too many pictures, so generally there aren’t any step by steps available. While they aren’t truly necessary for this project, they certainly are helpful!

I used Word to type out the name and used the “Windsong” font. Print a test page to gauge the size. Once you have it the way you want it, go ahead and print all of your names.

Attach these to the 4-inch squares, positioning them to one side, leaving room for the flowers and foliage. Use a hot glue gun to attach the flowers and/or foliage. Fold the cards on the crease and they are ready to grace your holiday table.
