In the summer of 2023, I made this cute little fairy house for a friend of mine’s birthday. She loves miniature things and I had a little wooden birdhouse sitting in my craft room, so it just came together!

Things I Used to Make This Mini Fairy House
I tend to have lots of leftover materials from projects past. Some of the things I used included:
- faux flowers
- miniature toadstools, rocks, and flower pots
- moss
- colorful eucalyptus
- sticks
- twine
- mini bird

How Mini is This Mini Fairy House?
I obviously gave this fairy house to my friend two years ago, so I can’t measure it with a ruler for you. But I’m going to guess the house was about 4 or 5-inches square. I’m including a little video below with my hand in the frame so you can get an idea.
What I Started With
Here’s a couple photos of the bare birdhouse and the tiny flowers I used to assemble the little wreath on the front door. The rest of the process was just gluing things in place. I did use the leaves of a dried eucalyptus plant for the roof shingles.

This was a fun project for me. I’ve made several fairy house projects over the years and love the process of bringing a simple wooden house “to life”. I hope you like it and it inspires you as well!
