While I originally made this adorable little guy for New Year’s, it also makes a really fun party favor, or even a make and take, for a birthday party! If you would like to do the project as a make and take, I would suggest having the plates painted first so the kids don’t have to do that step and get messy.
Paper Plate Party Animal
Supplies
- 1 paper plate
- Yellow and light blue paint
- 2 large pink pom-poms or any color
- Scrap of black felt
- Party blower
Instructions
- Paint the backside of the paper plate light blue and allow to dry. Paint the top side of the plate yellow and allow to dry.
- Cut circles from black felt and glue to the pink pom-poms. Fold the plate in half but do not crease. Glue pom-pom eyes to the top of the blue side of the paper plate. Cut a small hole in the center of the plate and insert the party blower. Parents can secure the blower with a small amount of hot glue, however tape can also be used

Fun preschool project I did with the 3 year olds this week at work!I had googlie eyes instead of black felt. I ended up spending $18.00 at target plus using xmas target gift cards to help buy the noise makers and gift bags. The children really enjoyed doing the art project!

Cool idea! I’m going to talk to my coworkers about it and maybe I will do it with the children at work next week!
