Be sure to sand the wood blocks if needed and dust off.

Paint the blocks with orange paint and let dry.

Use a Sharpie to draw the faces on and color them in.

Dip the handle end of the paintbrush into green paint and dot on top of each block for a stem.

Use a white paint pen to dot on eyes. Alternatively you can dip a toothpick into white paint and dot onto the eyes.

Jack O’Lantern Wooden Blocks

What you need:

  • Wood blocks
  • Paint: Orange and green
  • Fine point black Sharpie
  • White paint pen (or white paint and a toothpick)
  • Sandpaper

What you do:

  1. Sand the wood blocks if needed and dust off.
  2. Paint the blocks with orange paint and let dry. Dip the handle end of the paintbrush into green paint and dot on top of each block for a stem.
  3. Use a Sharpie to draw the faces on and color them in.
  4. Use a white paint pen to dot on eyes. Alternatively you can dip a toothpick into white paint and dot onto the eyes.
