Today, I am sharing this cute and comfy Aviator Sunglasses Sleep Mask Crochet Pattern. Mostly, I am blessed to be able to fall asleep and stay asleep (when I don’t have a baby waking me up several times a night!). However, there are some nights when I need a little help, and this sleep mask is both comfortable and helpful. Plus, who doesn’t love aviator sunglasses? So grab your comfy Crochet Sandals, kick back, and let’s get to work!
Aviator Sunglasses Sleep Mask Crochet Pattern
Hello CBA readers! I’m Bethany from Whistle and Ivy.
I designed this Aviator Sunglasses Sleep Mask with one layer (not including the lenses), but if you would prefer to have it a bit thicker, you can make another back piece and slip stitch it to the top one. You will want to do this very last after you have sewn on the lenses and embroidered the connecting piece.
You can also use any kind of elastic you have on hand, however, the fold-over elastic is rather comfortable and doesn’t pull hair.

Continuing from here, sc in all around the piece.
Lay the lenses on the back piece, going in about 2 rows from the sides. Pin in place.
Using the long 2nd-colored tails, sew the lenses in place with a simple running stitch and your darning needle.
Once the lenses are in place, embroider a small connecting line between the lenses. It’s just a couple stitches, you can eyeball it ;)
Then, using your head as a measurement, cut a length of fold-over elastic (it should be snug) and hand-sew it to both sides of the sleep mask.
This Aviator Sunglasses Sleep Mask would also make a great Mother’s Day gift, or a great addition to a spa gift set.
Here’s to a very restful and comfortable night’s sleep!

I am unfamiliar with the term “magic ring.” What is this?
Bethany Dearden says
It’s a really cool way of starting a circle project that eliminates that hole you get when you start with a ch-3 loop. I thought I had included a link, but I hadn’t! I fixed it to link to a video showing you how.
