When I was a little kid, decorating our windows with fake snow and paper snowflakes was a tradition. We used to trace cookie cutters onto construction paper and cut them out to hang in the window. However, construction paper isn’t see through, so while it was fun, window clings would have been even more fun! Now Crayola has come out with a new “cling creator” that allows kids to easily design their very own window clings, perfect for decorating the windows for Christmas!
This post is sponsored by Crayola; opinions expressed are my own.
The cling creator comes with everything you need to create approximately 20 window clings. You can mix the primary colors provided to make secondary colors, swirl them for a marble affect and even create your own shapes using cookie cutters! The Crayola Cling Creator comes complete, all you have to do is snap a couple pieces into place and you’ll be on your way to making your own clings.
Because kids love making things, you might want to dig out a few Christmas themed cookie cutters. While the creator comes with several templates that are perfect for year-round fun, there’s simply not enough space to cover every holiday.
To get started follow the easy directions on the box and put the creator together. Once you have everything in place, which takes only a couple of minutes, you are ready to make some window clings!
Mix together the colors…
Design your clings using the molds…
Or you can use the clay that’s included and a cookie cutter…
Then you simply pop the clings out of the molds or cookie cutters and press them onto the window! Instant holiday decorations!
So whether you are looking for a fun gift for a crafty child on your list, or something to keep them happy and busy on a snowy afternoon, they are sure to love this Crayola Cling Creator and the designs they can make with it.
Challenge!
