Glitter Foam Monsters - CraftsbyAmanda.com

It’s Halloween season and with it comes plenty of opportunities for making cute kid’s crafts, having fun Halloween parties, and of course, dressing up and going trick or treating. If you’re planning a Halloween party, I have the perfect make and take craft for you with these adorable glitter monsters!

Glitter Foam Monster craft - CraftsbyAmanda.comFirst of all, if you haven’t seen them yet, Michaels Crafts Stores carries these super fun foam party trays from Creatology. Mine has glitter and regular foam shapes, and in the middle there are peel and stick craft jewels, pom poms, shiny shapes and beneath the dome you’ll find a ton of peel and stick foam shapes! That alone would be great for a party!

Glitter Foam Monster supplies and steps - CraftsbyAmanda.comI also picked up some “Spooky Wiggle Eyes” and a Halloween pack containing pipe cleaners, googly eyes and different sized pom poms. I love the spooky googly eyes! So fun :) I did most of my gluing using Glue Dots, that’s the easiest and least messy way to put these guys together. I did use white craft glue for a couple of spots.

Glitter Foam Monster Halloween craft - CraftsbyAmanda.comThe best part is there are really no instructions. Put the party tray in the middle of the table and scatter the other supplies around within reach (or place in little bowls if you prefer) and let the kids create!

glitter foam monsters PINK - CraftsbyAmanda.comANTENNAE – Attach a pom-pom to the end of a piece of pipe cleaner using white craft glue.

glitter foam monsters GREEN - CraftsbyAmanda.comPOLKA DOTS – Use peel and stick craft jewels, shiny shapes and foam dots.

glitter foam monsters ORANGE - CraftsbyAmanda.comHAIR – Pom-poms or small pieces of pipe cleaners poked through the foam and bent to stay in place.

glitter foam monsters BLUE - CraftsbyAmanda.comNOSES – Use pom-poms or glitter pom-poms for the noses.

glitter foam monsters PURPLE - CraftsbyAmanda.comARMS AND LEGS – The pipe cleaners easily poke through the foam, then simply bend to secure and shape.

glitter foam monsters YELLOW - CraftsbyAmanda.comOTHER FOAM PARTS – For the green monster, I cut a mouth from a blue foam shape. For the blue monster, I cut arms from blue and legs from glitter green as well as a mouth from pink. The pink monster has pink foam wings cut from a flower foam piece. The purple monster has lips cut from pink foam.

The best part is that the kids will have a blast creating their very own monsters from this foam party tray! Perfect for a classroom, daycare, scout troup or party.

Have fun and Happy Halloween!
