This bouquet of fingerprint flowers is sweet, it’s cute, and it’s colorful. It would make a great grandparent gift or a Mother’s Day gift. It would also be great just for decorating your little girl’s room.

Bouquet of Fingerprint Flowers

If you’re like me, you have a box full of mementos you’ve been saving (and adding to) as your kids grow. Those tiny little bracelets they wear on their wrist in the hospital, that little certificate with their hand and teeny footprints, and of course plenty of artwork from days gone by. Yes, I have lots of stuff. My first baby is 28 years old now, while my youngest baby is 21.

Some of the things that we as parents hold dear are crafts and artwork made with tiny fingerprints. Those tender keepsakes from a size gone by, are now only a memory for me. I love all crafts that use fingerprints, see my Fingerprint Flower Pot and Fingerprint Daddy and Me Coffee Mug for more sweet gift-giving ideas!

If your kids are still little, make sure you save lots of those sweet pieces of art to look back on and smile! There are so many things that we can’t remember from our children growing up, so having that tiny fingerprint is a great way to cherish those memories in art.

What You’ll Need To Make Fingerprint Flowers

  • Patterned scrapbook paper
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • 4 green pipe cleaners
  • Clay pot or paper cup
  • Small piece of floral foam
  • 4 buttons
  • Craft paint in pink, light blue, purple, and yellow
  • Flower pattern

Dip finger in paint and press on to each petal. Use one color for the petals and a contrasting color for the center. Glue a button to the center of each flower.

Fold pipe cleaners in half and twist together. Glue to the back of the flower. Insert floral foam into clay pot or cup and push the pipe cleaners into the foam. Glue the flowers to the pipe cleaners.

If you’re gifting this bouquet of fingerprint flowers, print off a Mother’s Day Coloring Card for the little ones to color in to go along with it!

You could also spray paint a styrofoam cup and then cut it in half.

    Those are so cute!
