Halloween costumes are probably one of the most procrastinated things every year. So often parents wait until the last minute, only to find that the stores are pretty much sold out; even thrift stores have been picked clean. That means you have to come up with a make shift costume for Halloween. In this instance, duct tape comes in really handy! I prefer using Duck tape which can be found at most discount department stores. I’m going to show you how to make this super easy Duck tape spiderweb costume!
Duct Tape Spiderweb Costume
I used a black sweat jacket and black leggings for this spiderweb costume. You can see that the zipper is pink, but it really doesn’t matter! So use any black sweat suit, sweat shirt, t-shirt or jacket that you have.
You can find plastic and rubber spiders at most discount department stores and even at the dollar store. You don’t have to use a green one, but if your sweat suit is black, a black spider may be difficult to see.

We’ll also add a spiderweb to the knee of your black sweat pants or leggings.
For this Spiderweb Costume you will need:

Let’s make a spiderweb costume:
Cut white duct tape into thin strips using a craft knife and cutting mat. Lift each strip with the tip of the craft knife for easy removal.
Choose a center point on your shirt where you want the web to begin. Run long strips from the center across the shirt.
Continue attaching tape in a “sun ray” pattern working your way around the center point.
Cut strips into shorter pieces and connect each “ray” together to create a center circle. Move about an inch downward and do another line going around the center, connecting each ray together. Continue this pattern until finished.
Add another web to the knee of the pants using this same method. And there you have it, a simple duct tape spiderweb costume!
