Just in time for Halloween, make these fun popsicle stick monsters with the kids. This colorful popsicle stick craft would be a great make and take for a monster themed birthday party as well. Making them is super easy thanks to a free eyeball printable!

 There are many ways to make cute craft stick monsters, just use your imagination to come up with all sorts of cute designs! Try using different combinations of shapes and colors to create a wide variety of silly monsters.

Making Popsicle Stick Monsters: fun craft stick puppets

This is a great craft for kids parties, classrooms, scout troops, or any other time you need a fun group activity. It’s also a great project that works for kids of different ages, from preschool on up.

Supplies needed to make Popsicle Stick Monsters

Supplies:

  • Construction paper in colors of your choice
  • Aleene’s School Glue
  • Eyeball printable
  • White paper
  • Jumbo craft sticks

Tools:

  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Black marker

HINT: You can make our monster windsocks using this same eyeball printable!

1. Draw simple shapes for the monster bodies. You can use a wide mouthed cup to trace out circles, or cut out blob-type shapes, whatever you like!

2. Cut hair, claws and antennas from construction paper.

3. I even used a handprint to make one of the monster bodies.

4. When I printed these eyeballs off they were a little smaller than I wanted, so I simply enlarged them on my copier.

5. You can draw simple mouths by cutting out a shape from white paper then drawing lines for the teeth.

6. Assemble your monsters using glue.

7. Attach each one to a jumbo craft stick. let them dry completely and have yourself a fun puppet show with your friends!
