Have fun with the kids and make some black glitter slime this Halloween! You can whip up this concoction in minutes and let them play with some spooky slime that they will really love. Use black food coloring to get the spooky effect then add in various glitter colors to make this recipe all your own.

This black slime also makes a great Halloween party favor, like we did with our pumpkin slime!

Seriously, all kids love slime. They love slimes in all colors and types. Why not make this special version for Halloween? This would also be a great addition to any Halloween party that you may be hosting. supplies to make black glitter slime

Black Glitter Slime Recipe

  1. In a disposable bowl, mix equal parts of glue and water. I am using one 5 oz bottle of glue and 5 oz of water. I like to use a disposable spoon as well
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and mix.
  3. Mix in black food coloring until your desired color is reached.
  4. Then add in glitter in various colors. We used black, purple, blue, and dark grey. You can add as little or as much glitter as you like. Mix well and add more if needed.
  5. Add in 1 tablespoon of saline solution and whip the mixture. After a few minutes, it will start to pull together as slime.
  6. Knead until smooth and the stickiness has disappeared. You may need to add more saline solution. You can also add a bit of saline solution to your hands before kneading to help the mixture not stick to your hands.
  7. Add to a resealable container like a glass jar then let the fun begin!

How long will this slime be good for if sealed in airtight container?

Anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. It all depends on the seal on the container, how often it’s played with, etc :)
