I fondly remember Curious George from my childhood and loved all the books! Well your kids can enjoy him too because Curious George is now streaming only on Hulu. You can watch all 9 seasons of this lovable monkey on Hulu, and to celebrate I’ve created this adorable mask for you and the kids to make.
This post is in partnership with Hulu.
Curious George is an animated series based on the popular books by Margret and H.A. Rey. Aimed at preschool viewers, the goal of the series is to inspire children to explore science, engineering, and math in the world around them. And what better guide is there for this kind of exploration than the world’s most curious monkey? Hulu has all 9 seasons (108 episodes) of the animated TV series, as well as the animated film Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey. As with all kid’s programming on Hulu, Curious George streams commercial-free. You can start your free trial with Hulu here.
Curious George Paper Plate Mask
This cute paper plate mask is a fun way to engage your kids and talk about their favorite mischievous monkey! Here’s how you do it.
You will need:
- 2 paper plates
- Brown and peach paint
- Red and black construction paper
- Curious George face pattern
- Black marker
- Yarn
- Tape
- Glue stick
Paint the back of one of the paper plates with brown paint and set it aside to dry.
Paint the back of the second paper plate with peach paint and set aside to dry.
Cut out the face and ear pattern and place them on the peach plate. Cut out the ear and the face shape from the peach plate.
Cut the mouth from black construction paper and the tongue from red construction paper.
Use glue stick to attach the mouth and tongue to the peach plate face. Glue face and ear to the brown plate. Use a black marker to add the nose and laugh lines.
Note: if the glue doesn’t hold the face on well, you can roll pieces of tape to help secure it.
At this point you will need to hold the mask up to the child’s face to determine where to cut the eye holes.
Tape yarn to both sides of the back of the mask then tie around the back of your child’s head.
Use your new mask for a fun photo opportunity with your kids!
