Do you love fairy gardens? What about mason jars? Why not combine both of those into this fairy garden mason jar terrarium?

Fairy Garden Mason Jar Terrarium

You only need a few supplies to make your own version of this fun craft.  I used a few miniatures but actually made my own “door” to the fairy houses in these jars.  See how to make the doors below and add them to mason jars.  This is also a fun kids craft that they will love to partake in.

A fairy garden mason jar terrarium will be the perfect addition to your home decor this spring. Have fun with friends and create these terrariums together!

Supplies to make a Fairy Garden Mason Jar Terrarium:

  • Mason Jars
  • Rocks
  • Moss
  • Miniatures
  • Hot glue and glue gun
  • Craft sticks
  • Brown Ink Pad
  • Clay or small wood bead
  • Scissors

Choose mason jars with a smooth side so you can easily see the contents in the Fairy Garden Mason Jar Terrarium.

Crafting Tips for this project:

-Choose jars with a smooth side so you can easily see the contents.

-Use wood skewers and pliers to help you arrange the small items inside of your jar.

-Pick any miniatures that you want for the inside of your jar.

How to make a fairy door:

      • Determine the width of your door (two or three craft sticks should work).

Use hot glue to secure the craft sticks together with another craft stick across the back as shown above.

      • Use scissors to cut the craft sticks into a door shape.

Add a door knob with hot glue. I used a ball of clay, however a small wood bead would work as well.

      • Stain your door with a brown ink pad (if desired).

thank you so much for the sharing of this cute fairy garden!
I will give it a try for my little sis, she is badly ill of a rare illness.
And she needs some crafting comfort i think.
Thank you as well for the great tute.
    It will be helpfull.
Specially for the making a fairy door. I had planned years ago to make a fairy door in one of my walls, but i hadn’t find a shop that is specialist for dollhouses.
So i can make my one!!!!
