Scrap Wood Frames
Add any embellishments that you wish to each one. I have four different options below to jump-start some ideas. I even included a Christmas version for those that may want to add some pictures to your holiday decor.

Supplies needed to make these scrap wood frames:
- Scrap wood pieces
- Wood stain (I used grey)
- Paintbrush
- Rag
- Twine
- Embellishments
- Hot glue
- Pictures
Instructions:
- You can cut your boards to size or use them at whatever length they are at. Sand if needed.
- Stain the boards any color that you wish. I used a light grey stain for a rustic look. Paint on the stain with a paintbrush, allow to sit a few minutes, then wipe away excess with a rag.
- Wrap around one end with some twine and tie in the back.
- Use hot glue to secure on a variety of embellishments. Think flowers or even burlap accents!
Then your scrap wood frames are ready for display or even to give as gifts.
Just slide your picture under some of the strands of twine on one end. So simple and so cute! They just stand up on their own without anything additional in the back.
One of my favorites uses these pre-made burlap flowers in a cluster. They have a button center and are the perfect accent to a rustic piece like this one.
I also added one of these to my Christmas decor.
I added a small bottle brush tree and wreath to this one with hot glue. It is adorable and perfect for a cute baby picture in my holiday decor. You can find those cute wood slice trees in the background on the blog as well!
So, will you be making some scrap wood frames this year? Be sure to use up that scrap wood to make gifts and home decor as well, like our reversible scrap wood pumpkins and snowmen, or this cute rustic wood frame!
